How We Work
We believe that making information useful is a collaborative effort. One that requires an understanding of each other's goals, motivations, and priorities. From our first conversation through launch and broad-scale adoption, our Partnerships team facilitates the important work we do with the groups that trust us to help make their information useful.

Let's get to know each other, learn more about how we each think about making information useful, and gain an early understanding of what working together could accomplish.

How much of what you require currently exists? What needs to be invented specifically for your needs? We ensure our shared goals and values stay top of mind as we scope our collaboration.

Prototyping
We facilitate a process with our R&D team to channel needs into product design. This process is intense, quick, creative, and rewarding. It results in the refinement of ideas and a shared, clarified understanding of what we’ll create.

Let's build! While our Platform team works to make the prototype a reality, we ensure the lines of communication remain open, questions are answered promptly, and everyone remains on the same page. At this stage, we also start to plan for Platform launch and adoption.

Impact Repositories

How can we capture and value research outputs that fall outside of traditional scholarly publication structures? PubPub Platform serves as a home for datasets, codebases, proposals, operation manuals, videos, audio interviews, negative results and more in this collaboration.
Workflows for Media-Rich Publications
with Vanderbilt University
Journals have long served as the primary mode for communicating new knowledge. But what might it look like to have infrastructure that supports a journal workflow that enables the medium to serve the message? In this collaboration with Vanderbilt Libraries, we aim to find out.
Driving the Conversation Forward
We understand that technology can only ever be a part of our collective problem solving. A cultural shift toward prioritizing the usefulness of information to bring about better knowledge sharing futures is also necessary.
